Robert Ward loves to travel by car, to out of the way areas in North America, searching for nature subjects to photograph. Viewers frequently tell him that his images relax them and also remind them of their pleasurable experiences.

He is self-taught. He gives credit to his involvement with the Don Mills Camera Club where he is still an active member and one of only three ‘Master Photographers’. He is also an accredited judge.

For over 20 years, his work has been marketed through the web, art shows and his own gallery. Prints are held in collections in more than 30 countries. He has sold over 3500 prints (both limited-edition and open-edition).

In 2003 he received the Queen’s Jubilee medal for his involvement in the arts and community service and he has been recognized with numerous awards at the international, national and local levels.
